Spanish

Our Foreign Language classes at Mass Academy don't deviate too much from the average. It is split up between Spanish and French, and further into Intermediate and Advanced classes. I've been placed into Advanced Spanish, within which we have learned lots of vocabulary, practiced speaking skills, and completed some assignments and projects. Going into the rest of the year, we have a focus on our movie creation project, in which we develop our own short films entirely in Spanish!

Assignments

This assignment was one of the first we did, and was a challenging but fun one. We were tasked with writing a story from our own childhood, any one of our choosing, and writing about it entirely in Spanish. It was an interesting feat because I had to write using what I knew, and I found ways to get around certain words and conjugations that I didn't know. While there may be some grammatical errors, and there are likely better ways to word many aspects of it, I believe I did a good job and I had fun while doing it!

This assignment was part of a "mini-contest" that we had where all students, across all of the language classes and sections at Mass Academy, had to create memes in their foreign language! We all wrote about topics relating to our school, and some of them were pretty hilarious. It was a creative challenge and was a good exercise to get us thinking in a fun way!
