Me and my dad have always been big fans of music. He's been listening to all kinds of rock bands from a young age, and he instilled that in me too. He even bought me a drum-set at age 4. However, I was never really into it until arriving at Burncoat Middle School where I joined the music program. From there I started taking drum lessons, and participated in band performances. I loved it. Playing music with friends, and coming together to create something beautiful (or fun) is an amazing experience.
Then going into highschool, I became a part of the best school related activity I ever participated in: Pep Band. Because of the marching, and more sporty aspects to pep band, it feels more like being part of a sports team than a band; which I love. Here I've got to learn new musical techniques, build my physical strength carrying drums, and gain social/collaborative skills. All in all, I love music and I appreciate all the good things I've gained from it.
