Throughout high school, I participated in numerous extracurricular activities, both at Oxford High School and at Mass Academy. This list includes JV and Varsity Sports, where I earned seven varsity letters before attending MAMS. I served as the teacher for the Best Buddies, Student Council, and my class. Since coming to MAMS, I have been involved with robotics, the CAD Club, and Creative Engineering. A full breakdown of past extracurriculars can be found here and a list of current ones can be found here.
I also love exploring history, especially the history of the United States. Below is a picture of me at the point where British General John Burgoyne surrendered. This was significant because it was the first time that the British surrendered to the United States during the Revolutionary War. Here is a link to view more about the battle.
I love spending time with my family. I live with both my parents and our two dogs. We have two dogs: one named Oso, who is 11 years old, and another dog, Gunny, who is three years old. Below is a picture of me and Oso, on the left when we first got him, and on the right, me and him on his tenth birthday. Also, below is a picture of Gunny on our most recent camping trip.
On top of babysitting and doing yard work for neighbors and the elderly, I have spent a lot of time as a lifeguard. Last year, I made the decision to get Lifeguard Certified through the American Red Cross, and I learned so much through that course. I learned both perfect and real-world actions and rescue techniques, which have shown extremely useful in my numerous rescues. Working as a lifeguard is an extremely demanding job as it demands you to constantly be watching for any signs of drowning while still interacting with the public and helping with operations. However, it feels extremely rewarding to ensure water safety in my community.
