Math Modeling

Math modeling is taught by Ms. Burns. In math modeling, students learn concepts through discovery, and apply them to real-world situations to solve problems. Students learn mathematical concepts not through memorization, but by learning how and why each concept works.

AP Statistics Project

In math modeling, a statistics unit is introduced to enable students with the tools to analyze data. For students with experience with AP Statistics, a group project was assigned to help further their knowledge of statistical concepts. Each group was tasked to create a presentation about Linear Regression T -test, One-Way ANOVA, and Two -Way ANOVA, and presented to their class.

Epsilon Presentation

For the first presentation of the year, students were posed with challenge: How should new teachers be distributed at the Epsilon School? To solve this problem, my group and I used the student to teacher ratios of each class to define where new teachers should be hired.
