Spanish

Our Spanish class, taught by Señora Wildfong, is a class that works to really expand the knowledge that may have been pretty limited before entering the classroom. I had taken Spanish for multiple years prior, so I was placed in the advanced class, which allows us to work to better our Spanish reading, writing, and speaking skills through multiple different methods of learning. Rather than just having lectures and taking notes, we play games, watch movies, listen to songs, read books about mystery murders, and even make scenes from our stories out of play-doh! The class may seem intimidating, since we can only speak in Spanish, but throughout the year, it only becomes easier and allows us to really progress our understanding in the language.

Cuento de Niñez

Near the beginning of the school year, we had to write an essay about some eventful part of our childhood. We could write about one specific thing, go through events from our whole childhood, or even make up a story. I wrote about my experience traveling all over the world when I was younger, which includes going to India and Belgium for family, road trips all the way to California, and going to DisneyWorld for my birthday!

Memes

One of the funnest assignments we have had was the meme contest! We had to create memes in Spanish that represent our experience in the school in a more comical way. Every week, one meme is added to our bulletin board for everyone to see! Here you can see the three memes I submitted.
