Physics

Physics is a class that combines algebra, calculus, and trigonometry to explain how and why objects interact the way they do. Taught by Mrs. Chase, the course follows the AP Physics C: Mechanics curriculum. Due to the number of formulas and concepts involved, it can be challenging, but it is ultimately a very interesting and rewarding class.

Dynamics Lab

In this lab, our group investigated the relationship between the mass of an object and its acceleration. We experimented using a frictionless cart with a fan attached and measured its acceleration as the mass changed. Our results showed a linear relationship between mass and acceleration.

2D Rocket Problem

This physics problem was part of the projectile motion unit, which focuses on how objects move along the x- and y-axes. Mrs. Chase assigned each student different values for the variables, making everyone’s problem unique. I really enjoyed working through this project and drawing out the diagrams.
