Physics

Advanced Physics, taught by Ms. Chase, is a course where I learn how to look at the physical world through the lens of mechanics. This class closely aligns with the AP Physics C: Mechanics curriculum. This course covers kinematics, dynamics, energy and momentum, rotational and circular motion, gravitation, and simple harmonic motion, with additional study of waves, sound, light, electricity, and magnetism. I solve problems using both algebra and calculus-based methods and apply the concepts to better understand how things move and interact.

Dynamics Lab

In this Dynamics Lab project, my group (myself, Avanti Moghe, and Karena Petterson) designed an experiment to test a hypothesis we had about a dynamic relationship. We chose to investigate the question: "How is the relationship between acceleration and mass affected by the mass distribution on a pulley system?" We collected data to create a linear graph and compared it to the expected value. This report includes the question, our hypothesis, the strategy we used, a graphic of our setup, the data, and our analysis.

2D Rocket Problem

In this Rocket Problem, I analyzed the motion of a rocket launched from rest at a specific angle. To do this, I calculated each stage of the rocket's flight using the concept of projectile motion. My solution includes a diagram, step-by-step calculations of each part, and the final horizontal displacement.
