Robotics
At my sending school, we didn't have robotics. So, when I saw that MAMS offered it, I was overjoyed. I joined FRC190 immediately, and now I love it! You will typically find me in the shop working with the HAAS, cutting and drilling materials into pieces for our end robot that we will be using in competition.
Community Service
In my free time, along with all of my hobbies, I love to do community service! As an extension of robotics, I am an FLL (First Lego League) mentor! When I have days off, I love to go to the Marlborough Community Cupboard and do things like make the vegetable boxes. Some of my favorite community services are those done with my class, such as the Community Harvest Project.
A Term
During A term, I am in the CAD Club and the Biotechnology. In CAD, I am learning how to use Onshape to 3D print a marble path at the end. I plan to apply the skills I learn here in robotics, as I have to use CAM for the HAAS programming. In biotech with Dr.C, we learn laboratory procedures and run mini-experiments such as extracting pigment Drosophila.
