The Science and Technical Writing, or STW, course of Mass Academy is in many ways the same class as STEM. They’re both taught by Dr. Crowthers, and they both have been revolving around the Build Something project and the STEM1 project. While STEM deals with the actual building, testing, and data gathering, STW handles the grammatical side of the project. This includes research, tech reports, and just basic grammar for our thesis. The main part of this class is the fixer upper, where we’re given sentences with incorrect grammar, and we have to fix it. While it’s not as exciting as STEM, STW is a very useful class that is very engaging and interactive.
