The Humanities course of Mass Academy is full of history and literature. So far, we’ve been given a few stories, including Walden by Henry David Thoreau, “August 2026: There Will Come Soft Rains” and “The Pedestrian” by Ray Bradbury, and Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. After reading these stories or parts of these stories, we would come together as a class and discuss them, which sometimes lead to debates. I love how this class is more discussion based, with even our teacher, Mrs. Small, joining in, and even basic research projects, like the one we’re currently doing about the world’s 1st human civilizations, are very interactive and thought provoking.
Come back in January for more information.
