Whenever there comes a holiday involving presents, or I’m just in the mood for it, I’ll likely get a LEGO set. Mostly, it’ll be LEGO Star Wars, although I have gotten a few LEGO Harry Potter and LEGO Architecture sets. I’ve been collecting LEGOs since like the 4th grade, and so far my greatest achievement from it was getting the original LEGO Death Star for my 15th birthday and finishing it in 3 days while only having the evenings available to work on it. I find LEGOs to be a very fun pass time, when I actually have time for it.
I literally live in the middle of nowhere, so in order to actually go somewhere, I had to either get a ride or take my bike. It usually takes roughly a half hour to get from my house to the center of Ashburnham. A lot of my time during the summers has been on my bike, going to either the center of town or one of my friends’ houses.
I live on a lake, so a lot of my summer involves swimming. A couple of years ago, we decided to get a boat, which vastly increased the amount of activities we could do on the lake. We could go tubing, kneeboarding, water skiing, and even just driving the boat, which I was able to do the first day we got it. Living on a lake allows for so many possibilities for activities for 3 out of the 4 seasons(there isn’t really much you can do with a lake in the fall).
A few years back, I wanted to start archery as an activity to do on the side from time to time. It was a good idea, but there was one roadblock that delayed the start of me doing this. That roadblock was finding the right bow. I’m a lefty, so that made things a whole lot more difficult, but I also wanted a recurve bow, since the couple times I held a compound it felt too jerky. That meant we had to find a lefty recurve bow, and when we finally found one, it was all the way out in Barre. After that though, there weren’t any more issues and I was able to start archery, which is great as long as I don’t overshoot and lose the arrow in the woods, which has happened more times than I’m willing to admit.
