Welcome to my Physics Page!

The physics course at MAMS is taught by Mr. Ellis. In class, we go over notes from the previous night or work on practice problems and tests with our table. Class is a very collaborative environment, as we all help each other out with difficult problems. The course has both algebra and calculus options, meaning calculus is not required to succeed. The course covers everything on the AP Physics Mechanics and Algebra tests.

Most units include an “Uber problem,” or a problem incorporating all the content in the unit. Two Uber problems we have done so far this year were the “Uber Rocket,” for our kinematics unit, and the “Uber Pulley,” for our forces unit. The first problem is the “Uber Rocket,” and the second problem is the “Uber Pulley.”
