Language is a course that is offered at Mass Academy that is based on the language and level you want to take. There are four paths you can take: Intermediate Spanish, Advanced Spanish, Intermediate French, and Advanced French. The group you are placed in also determines the group of people you will take most other classes with at Mass Academy. Language is an enjoyable course in which we do numerous activities such as reading books, watching Spanish series’, and making short films!
A project that we are currently working on in Spanish is a short film called “Junioritis”. This film follows the students of Mass Academy as they all fall ill with a disease called Junioritits because they get so much homework. Due to this, a doctor is called and claims that to solve this problem we need to get rid of all homework. At first, the students are really happy, but then they get very bored. The film ends with the students asking for homework again. To learn more about the film, look at all the scenes we made on the right!
Another project that we created in Spanish this year was memes. The memes could have been related to Mass Academy or not. It was a really fun and open-ended project! After we all made our memes, Señora Wildfong would put one up once a week outside of her office so everyone could read it. If you want to read mine, look to the left!
