This class is taught by Ms. Wildfong and it is an introduction to French class. I took 4 years of Latin, and this class quickly integrated me with my peers who had taken 2-3 years of French. We use a variety of learning materials such as literature, music, films, discussions, and games to help us learn the language. At the start of C term, we are starting our film project.
One assignment we had was to create some memes in French! At the time, I did not know a lot of French vocabulary or how to form full sentences, so I used short phrases in my memes. One way we learn new topics in French is to make a presentation about it. So, when we learned about the avoir verb, everyone had to present terms that used this verb avoir. In general, the verb avoir is used to express possession, feelings, and age. It roughly translates to "to have" in English. Here is a link to the Avoir Presentation.
