Physics is taught by Mrs. Chase. In this class we learn about topics such kinematics, projectile motion, and centripetal force. These topics align with the AP Physics class. Oftentimes they require many different physics skills to get the right answer.
This is a problem we did to model the movement of a rocket launched into the air with multiple phases of thrust and air resistance. At the beginning the rocket has a constant velocity at a slant upwards. Then the rockets engine turn off and it begins to accelerate downwards. Finally a parachute is deployed and wind blows the rocket backwards until it reaches the ground.
This is a lab on a procedure we created to test if the coefficient of friction will change with the angle of the the two objects. This lab was created by our group to be able to test this property of physics. We used carts with accelerometers on a set track with a pulley. Then incline was applied and coefficient of friction tested. This helped us further understand how basic forces interact.
