Math Modeling

Mathematical modeling is taught by Mrs. Burns. In this class we complete various group projects as well as work on challenging problems and ideas. Some topics that are covered are statistics, number theory, vectors, and parametrics. These lessons on many different areas of math come in between projects and challenges that require group work and navigating through the ideas of mathematical modeling.

Modeling the Future Challenge

The Modeling the Future Challenge, is a actuarial competition made to spark interest in the field. Through the scenario phase of the project me and my team did practice problems as well as formed an idea for our project. This document shows the end of the scenario phase. Throughout the rest of the challenge a mathematical model will be created.

Epsilon School Challenge

The Epsilon School project was a project that showed real world application of mathematical modeling. In this project we were tasked with finding in which subjects that new teachers need to be hired to make up for an increase of students.
