Humanities is taught by Mrs. Small. This class is a combination of both social studies and English courses. In this class we learn about how to use the many tools such as different forms of language for writing a convincing argument through reviewing and analyzing other works. We also explore some more complex issues in today’s society such as the issues with the education system. thing special here
The Educational Essay is on the what we would change about the educational system of the United States. We were given a choice to find a topic that we found interesting and cared about, about something that could be improved with the educational system. The essay was accompanied by lessons on influential people and opinions on education. The essay I chose was about the need for the addition of foreign languages to be learned earlier.
For our first assignment in Humanities we wrote and performed a script related to Walden. Over the previous summer we all had read Walden by Henry David Thoreau. The script we made was a scenario of Henry David Thoreau defending himself against various characters about his lifestyles. We then performed this script at a camp called Bournedale.
