I'm a junior at Mass Academy, with my sending school being Nipmuc Regional in Upton, MA. Before moving here, I lived in North Carolina and Texas. Currently, I’m 16 years old and have two siblings and two dogs. They are Amelia, who’s currently in college nearby, Will, who is in seventh grade, and my dogs, Toby and Minnie. I love reading, traveling, and collecting fun facts in a variety of topics. I’m interested in the military and hope to pursue a degree in engineering.
I am a lacrosse goalie and play for both my sending school and a travel team, and I hope to continue playing in the future. When I am not on the field, I enjoy working out, running, and competing in challenges such as Spartan Races, which are obstacle courses designed for adults. In 2026, I hope to complete a Spartan Trifecta, which includes a 5k, 10k, and 21k.
Outside of athletics, I enjoy coding, reading, and writing. Some of my favorite genres are epic fantasy, historical fantasy, and science fiction. I also love traveling and have visited five countries so far: England, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Italy. In addition, my family and I have explored more than thirty states in our RV, traveling along both the West and East Coasts. I find it incredible to see different parts of the world, experience cultural differences, and take in many beautiful places.
This year, I joined the FIRST Robotics Team here at MAMS. I love this program and am learning so many skills, including how to handle various tools and CAD. I have also joined the CAD Club here at school to help me better engage with FIRST. For my freshman and sophomore years, I took part in the ARC Robotics team at my sending school. It was an amazing opportunity with a big focus on activism and ethics, allowing me to learn about more than just robotics, but still keeping a focus on aerial drones.
Outside of school, I participate in the Civil Air Patrol, which is an auxiliary of the Air Force, and I am currently a Cadet Senior Airman. I am also a part of a group called VOICE. This group is aimed at developing the Holocaust Museum that is opening in Boston in 2026, so that it is accessible and impactful to the public, through its educational programs, content organization, and outreach. These two activities have been extremely important to me, as they have gained me a new appreciation of the community and leadership skills, such as public speaking and organization.
This summer, I used schoolhouse.world to help tutor for the reading section of the SAT, as part of a four-week bootcamp. On schoolhouse, I am also involved in tutoring for a variety of other subjects, allowing me to help others all across the globe and to give back, since I use it myself as a learner. In addition to this, I have been volunteering every week at the Pawfect Life Rescue, where I get to take care of dogs who come from all across America, usually out of kill shelters. I work with them for events and outreach opportunities for the puppies, alongside the weekly maintenance and caretaking of the dogs and their environment.
