~/about/robotics

I've been participating in FIRST Robotics since middle school, starting with FIRST LEGO League, and then First Tech Challenge with my sending school.

Through my experience in robotics, I've learned a lot about research, iterative design, testing, teamwork, and, most importantly, having fun█

With the Robotics Club at my middle school, I competed in the FIRST LEGO League for three years. Those three years sparked my interest in robotics and STEM in general. Each of the three main aspects, the robot game, research project, and core values, had something unique to offer and were all learning opportunities. Overall, LEGO robotics was a great experience, fostering collaborative problem-solving and showing me how fun STEM could be.

Throughout my time at my sending school, I was a programmer with FTC Team 12589 Pioneer Robotics. FTC exposed me to a new echelon of robotics and far more advanced design and programming. I learned a lot about autonomous and driver-controlled robot programming, including development with Android Studio, Java, and Kotlin. The FTC season and competitions were intense and fun and helped me make some of my closest friends in high school.
