Physics
Physics at Mass Academy, taught by Mrs. Chase, focuses on developing a conceptual and quantitative understanding of the physical world. Topics include kinematics, dynamics, energy, momentum, collisions, and circular motion, with an emphasis on real-world problem solving through labs and modeling.
Dynamics Lab
In this lab-based assignment, we designed and conducted an experiment to investigate Newton’s laws of motion. Working in teams, we collected and analyzed data, then presented our findings in a formal lab report.
Rocket Problem
This assignment involved modeling the trajectory of a rocket while accounting for thrust, mass, drag, and gravity. We applied kinematic equations to predict the end location of the rocket after engine cutoff.
