The objective of this lab was to find the acceleration of a cart traveling on an inclined plane. We conducted the lab because a cart was released on an inclined plane from many distances away from a sensor that measured the velocity of the cart as it passed through it. The slope of a linearized graph of the distance traveled and velocity data from the sensor were used to find the cart's acceleration. The angle of the plane was then changed, and the whole experiment was repeated to find the acceleration at the new angle. Attached to the left is my lab report on the result of this question.
We had multiple topics to conduct our lab on, and my group and I chose to measure the coefficient of friction to see if it varies with the normal force. This means we had to add weight to the dragged object and see if it affected the resulting coefficient of friction. Attached to the right is my lab report on the result of this question.
