BPA Win

I was born in Chicago but now call Hopkinton, MA, home. I've spent the past four years here, following twelve wonderful years in Westboro, MA. Both towns hold a special place in my heart, and I often wish I could blend the best aspects of each. Growing up in Westboro, I loved spending time outdoors, playing with friends of all ages, and exploring fun spots like SKYZONE. In Hopkinton, I’ve come to deeply appreciate the school system and the amazing people I’ve met along the way (HHS WEBSITE). One organization that stands out from my time in Hopkinton is BPA (Business Professionals of America). It was a transformative experience, filled with hard work and camaraderie. My team and I achieved first place at both the state and national levels in the Network Design team event during our first year of participation. The dedication we poured into our presentation truly paid off, leaving me with cherished memories that I’ll carry with me forever.

Music Taste

Some of my favorite music artists include Travis Scott, Drake, Playboi Carti, and others. I’m particularly drawn to hip-hop and rap, especially high-energy tracks that bring a sense of excitement and motivation. Whether I’m powering through a workout or focusing on work, their music has a way of keeping me energized and on track. I’m looking forward to attending their concerts soon, which I know will be an unforgettable experience. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend checking out their music. A great place to start is with this Drake playlist: Drake Playlist.

What I Enjoy

Friends and I golfing in NH

Whenever possible, I prefer being outdoors with my friends above all else. I also enjoy biking, as it serves as my primary mode of transportation until I get my license. When it comes to sports, I love watching basketball, football, and soccer. There's something special about sitting with friends and immersing ourselves in a game, but nothing compares to experiencing the electrifying energy of a live match. The buzz of the crowd, the chants, and the shared excitement create an atmosphere I’ll never tire of, which is why I plan to attend at least one live game every year for the rest of my life. Beyond that, simply spending time with my friends—talking for hours without ever running out of things to say—is something I truly cherish.

My Family

I have one younger sister, a mom, and a dad in my family. With each person in this family, I have a different connection. With my sister, we may have some disagreements here and there, but we also have a lot of fun together. I can tell my mom anything, and I often seek advice from my dad. I enjoy going on hikes or trips with them. However, my dad loves going to the beach, especially Hampton Beach, NH. The boardwalk is fantastic, yet the water can get cold at certain times. I also love the beach, as it allows us to relax from the stresses at home and enjoy our time together.

Travel

I am at ChickenIzta in Mexico

As I’ve mentioned, I love spending time outdoors, and traveling is one of my favorite ways to do so. Whether it’s exploring a nearby town or venturing to a different country, I find joy in discovering new places. One of my recent favorite destinations was Cancun, where I was captivated by the vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and incredible weather. Even though I got sunburned, it was a small price to pay to escape Boston’s cold climate. I also enjoy road trips—two years ago, my family and I embarked on an unforgettable journey down the East Coast, stopping at some of the most remarkable spots in each state. Additionally, hiking holds a special place in my heart. It gives me the opportunity to reflect and unwind in the tranquility of nature, offering a sense of peace and relaxation that’s hard to find elsewhere.

Community Service

Abby Kelley Mass Academy has the opportunity to visit Abby Kelley Charter Public School in Worcester and teach middle schoolers about STEM. We use interactive games and lessons so that the students can have fun while learning important STEM topics. I got to experience the joy of working with children and how to teach enjoyably. The students loved the lessons as they were engaging and incorporated everyone. My involvement with this school made me realize the different methods of teaching and how to include everyone in discussions.

Thursday Tech Time I also volunteered at my local library. Every Thursday after school, I would host something called Thursday Tech Time, where anyone could come in and receive help for their technology needs. I had met various people, but a common theme was that everyone was grateful for my patience and kindness as they were scared to come in, but my helpfulness put them at ease. An interaction I vividly remember is that on a Thursday at 5:30 pm, I remember a shy person walking in and mustering up the courage to ask for help. I tried my best to make her feel comfortable and assist her with her needs, and in the end, she told me that she was hesitant to approach me, but I made her feel welcome. That interaction made me understand that everyone wants help but needs to feel comfortable enough to ask.
