This research serves to pave the way for changes in the redistricting process. The aim of this model and purpose for its development is to provide objective evidence and a solution to gerrymandering. It also serves to provide an accessible way of learning more about gerrymandering and the dangers of it. Politicians should not be able to manipulate borders to stay in power. Gerrymandering is a threat to democracy and an abuse of power. This model aims to assist its users in fulfilling their civic duty of ensuring that everyone’s vote has an as equal impact as possible.
