The objective of this problem was to use physics to determine how long a yellow light should last based on a road's speed limit and a car's breaking acceleration. This approach becomes multifaceted, though, as it involves humans, and thus their reaction times and tendency to drive above the speed limit.
In this lab, my group and I decided to set up an experiment measuring the acceleration of a cart propelled by fans across different masses in order to ascertain if our results were consistent with Newton's Second Law: F=ma.
