Climbing, Hiking, and Biking

When I was four, I climbed onto a staircase railing and fell down the outside of it, breaking my wrist. Rather ironically, this began my passion for rock climbing. Starting with summer camps through elementary school, I climbed more, soon joining my gym’s recreational team. Although COVID forced me to essentially start from scratch in 2021, I continued climbing and have now been competing for the last two years, placing 6th and 7th at the regional (New England) level in bouldering and lead, respectively (Click this box to see my USAC climber profile).

My family and I are avid hikers and bikers, both of which have given me a love for being outdoors and photographing it. Though I am, by no means, a photographer, I’ve developed a liking for capturing moments in pictures as much as I do through words. Research

I am an avid engineer and researcher and have spent the last four years, undertaking various long-term projects to create tools and technology dedicated to helping people, be it improving their quality of life or saving it, and the environment. Model UN

I am perpetually invested in global issues and developing solutions to them, which led me to restart the Model UN club at my middle school and sending high school. As someone interested in engineering, the ability to effectively communicate the significance of a topic and the rationale behind a solution is paramount, and it is part of what draws me to Model UN. MUN also requires collaboration at several levels: logistically between myself and my fellow officers, effectively between members of a delegation, and diplomatically between members of a committee.

Music

I play both violin and piano in my free time and learn pieces of music that I enjoy. I also listen to quite a bit of music, and my taste encompasses almost any genre. Click here to see my playlist!
