SPANISH

Spanish, taught by Senora Wildfong, is my favorite class because it is engaging and immersive. No English is ever used in the classroom, which allows for an environment where everyone is constantly practicing and improving their language skills. The class requires us to work in groups, communicate in Spanish , and partake our grammar through discussions and activities. We learn with art, music, songs, games, and movies, which makes it so much more enjoyable. We are currently moving into the film portion of the course, where we will continue developing our listening and comprehension skills through movies.

SCHEDULE

Throughout B-term, we focused a lot on verbs and their different tenses, uses, conjugations, etc. Señora Wildfong instructed the class to write an essay that went through a normal day in the life, specific to the student. This assignment targeted our correct use of reflexive verbs, which are essentially verbs that are acted upon yourself. Such verbs include dressing yourself, brushing your hair, and more. Feel free to read my schedule!

EL MISMO SOL

“El Mismo Sol” was one of the first songs introduced to us during the first term of the year. We were tasked with listening to the song on the speaker and attempting to fill in the lyrics. Coincidentally, it has become a class favorite. We have done multiple karaoke’s to it, we performed it to Dr. C, and it is a tradition to perform for our shadows. Feel free to take a listen to it!
