Hi I'm Mohammad Golji!!!

I’m a MAMS junior from Grafton. I really like growing plants, spiders, chemistry, and everything in between. In my free time I like to exercise, hang out with my friends, and read books. I have two younger siblings, Aliyah and Reza.

Plants

I have always loved plants, and now I’m able to take care of them. I love starting plants from seed, and I have successfully started a date tree, an apricot tree, and an avocado sapling. Outside behind my house I have a large, sprawling tomato patch. The majority of the tomatoes were started indoors during early spring, leading to an exciting early harvest. My next plans are to relocate hundreds of wild daffodil bulbs from my backyard to a nice new garden.

Computer Aided Design (CAD)

In freshman year, I took a CAD/CAM class as a single-semester elective. That class changed my life! I now use Rhino software to design regularly, having used it to develop and print decorations, household solutions, and designs which I have posted on Artstation. I recently sold some of my designs at the Grafton Vendor Fair.

Athletics

I wrestle for Northbridge High School, where I have been varsity since my freshman year. I have a strong background in Judo, in which I have earned my brown belt after 8 years of intense training. I train at Worcester Judo. When I am not doing wrestling I am running, you'll find me at track and cross-country meets! In my own time, I work out regularly- I love calisthenics and weightlifting!

Community Engagement

I am a volunteer at the NEJAF Islamic Center in Milford and the Worcester Refugee Assistance Program. At NEJAF, I am able to help run events, photograph, clean, and raise donations. At WRAPS we lead STEM-oriented lessons with younger local refugees to help them develop their own passion for math and science. WRAPS is currently held at the City View Elementary School in central Worcester on Monday nights. All volunteers are welcome!
