Physics is taught by Mrs. Chase. This class has a similar curriculum to AP Physics. This is a really interesting class. In the first semester we learned about kinematics, projectile motion, dynamics, energy, momentum, and circular motion.
In this lab we were first assigned small groups, then we got to choose our own question related to dynamics to research. We were given a few sample problems to choose from, but my group chose to write our own. After that each group develops and tests a lab. To end every student does a one-page write up on the results of their experimenting. My one-page lab report is to the left.
Our group decided to calculate the greatest and least acceleration of an elevator by measuring the apparent weight of rocks throughout an elevator trip.
At the end of our projectile motion unit we did a multi-step Rocket problem. In this problem we had to calculate 3 stages of a rocket flight, from launch to its landing, with the goal of finding the distance it landed from the start. Every student received different numbers and ranges that their answer was in to check. Here is my work from the problem.
