STEM 2
STEM II is a long-term group project in which we are tasked to create a piece of Assistive Technology for a client. Due to the circumstances we were in, all communication between group members occurred through Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Problem
A local woman suffering from tremors has difficulty using her adaptive spoon called a Liftware spoon in order to eat. She does not feel comfortable using it and grabs onto the gyro, rendering the spoon useless.
Approach
Our project had us engineer and deliver an adaptive device that will allow the woman with tremors to eat independently. It will be an add-on to the Liftware spoon instead of a replacement
