About Team 190

Massachusetts Academy of Math and Science at WPI is home to FIRST Robotics Team 190. Worcester Polytechnic Institute is a strong supporter of the team, providing sponsorship, mentorship, and resources. Using the FIRST Robotics Competition as a main impetus, the team designs and manufactures a robot, which is the culmination of innovation, passion, and dedication, to partake in tournaments. The students have the opportunity to work closely with college mentors, making Team 190 a unique environment. As a means of bonding, the team plays CRUD at the beginning of the school year and regularly during build season. Since its inception, Team 190 has been known for innovation in design and creative approaches that push the limits of the proposed challenge (check out our 20 years of history.) Team 190 continues to use the robot as an instrument for promoting interest in science and technology in the local community with over 50 demonstrations annually.
