Advanced French, run by Madame Wildfong, is different from a typical French course in that it is fully immersive. We are only allowed to speak French to each other while in class, which is a very fun experience! We also watch french movies, write stories, and even are working on creating a french movie on our own in groups. All of these different experiences creates an environment where learning the language is fun, but also prepares us well for French speaking places.
The meme submissions are a fun assignment in which we are able to submit memes in French. A meme is then chosen every week to be displayed on the bulletin board. The 3 memes here were created by me and Aashriya Das.
These are my listening logs from A term! For the listening logs, we have to take a piece of media in French–whether that be a TV show, song, or podcast–and listen to it for 20-30 minutes. Then, we have to write about it in the log. For each term, there needs to be 10 entries into the log. I enjoyed the freedom of choice that the listening logs provided, while also drastically increasing my French listening abilities.
