I like to do art in my free time like drawing, sculpting, etc. I am currently trying to improve my drawing skills through “drawing from observation”, or drawing reference photos to learn the desired feature. I like to do this with Jujutsu Kaisen frames because they are not only fun to draw but they also have taught me a lot about proportions and shading.
I also have been crocheting amigurumis (plushies) for almost 3 years. I started a bit earlier than that, but crocheted incorrectly, which caused me to give up. Later, I picked it up again to crochet some gifts for my friends, and have been doing it ever since. I enjoy challenging myself and trying to push my skills to the next level, and even if I am using a preset pattern, I will try to add an extra challenging layer to it, like extra color changes. My future goals are to learn how to properly make my own patterns, as well as learn how to crochet clothes.
I used to play the piano but then took a small hiatus and switched over to the violin in 7th grade and have been playing ever since. Currently, I am participating in the WPI orchestra, as well as the Wachusett Regional High School Orchestra. Playing violin has allowed me to make some of my best friends, continuously challenge myself and always strive to be better, and has given me an appreciation for classical music.
Goals: Czàrdàs (Vittorio Monti), Suite from “The Gadfly” VIII. Romance (Dimitri Shostakovich, Arr. Atovmyan), and the Sibelius Violin Concerto (Jean Sibelius)
I have been figure skating for three years and am currently still trying to get my axel. Figure skating to me is enjoyable as a sport and feels very graceful, and the competitions are fun! Skating in general has improved my balance as well as teaching me that it does not matter if I mess up, as long as I continue to move forward and improve.
