Course Description
Language class at MAMS is split up into intermediate Spanish, advanced Spanish, intermediate French and advanced French. These groupings determine what section you are in for your typical classes, and who your everyday classmates will be. I am in intermediate Spanish, and it is amazing watching all my classmates improve quickly and noticing my Spanish knowledge grow. Language classes at MAMS are immersion, which means no one can speak English while we are in the class. This is very enjoyable and can be quite funny at times, particularly in intermediate Spanish. It is also very effective and I feel like I, along with all my peers, have learned so much about Spanish this year, and I can't wait to see how much progress everyone has made by the end of the year! In Spanish class, we listen to songs, watch movies, read books, etc., which is fun, relaxing, and if very impactful at increasing our Spanish knowledge. To see some assignments I have completed so far in Spanish class, scroll through this page!

This is an assignment I completed with my classmate, and the objective was to create Memes in Spanish. We focused ours around MAMS and what goes on here. All MAMS juniors completed this assignment in their respective languages, and they are being gradually put up on a board throughout the year for everyone to look at.

This was the first essay intermediate Spanish class had this year. The prompt was to write about your house. It prioritized working with what you know rather than translating phrases. This essay is far from perfect, but it uses what I know and can write on my own.
