Immersion Spanish at MAMS is a unique language course that focuses on developing proficiency in Spanish through immersive techniques. Taught by Senora Wildfong, the course emphasizes conversational skills, cultural understanding, and practical applications of the language. Students engage in various activities such as analyzing film, group discussions, and cultural projects to enhance their language skills in a dynamic and interactive environment.
This essay describes my daily routine in Spanish, highlighting the activities I engage in from morning to night. It includes details about my school schedule, extracurricular activities, and personal hobbies, all narrated in Spanish to practice using reflexive verbs.
During the first part of the year, we had to analyze the paintings of different Spanish artists and present them to the class in spanish, describing what they look. My artist was Jose Clemento Orozco, a Mexican painter known for his murals and social realism style. Take a look at some of his artwork on the right!
At MAMS, we have an annual meme contest where the Spanish and French classes all make memes and whichever meme Senora Wildfong thinks is the best will be hung up outside her office. Here are a few of my favorite memes that I made for the contest! (The 1st meme actually won!).
