In Language, taught by Ms. Wildfong, we learn Spanish through short stories, books, watching films, playing games, and speaking in Spanish. This class uses a lot of fun, hands-on activities to help us learn new vocabulary and grammar skills. After watching the Spanish film Viva Cuba and the TV show El Internado, we are currently working on producing our own Spanish short films. Our other units have included childhood and future tense. Check out some of my Spanish writing below!
Our first unit in Spanish was about childhood, where we learned past tense. To practice, we wrote an essay about a
story from our childhood in Spanish. I chose to write about one of my childhood memories from Thanksgiving at a
friend’s house!

Throughout every term in Spanish, we complete ten listening logs to practice our listening skills. Each log is about
20 minutes long, and I like to listen to Spanish songs, TV shows, and podcasts and write a reflection about what I
learned.
