Spanish

Course Description

In Intermediate Spanish, students learn the basics of the Spanish Language Grammar, build an extensive base of vocabulary, and learn how to fluently speak and understand basic Spanish. This is primarily done through worksheets, games, songs, projects as well as other activities, and even daily interactions. This course allows for students with vastly different levels of experience in Spanish to be able to grasp the new concepts quickly and help those who are completely new to the language.

The first essay of the year in Spanish was about the student’s house. As a result, I wrote about my house and as this was my first time writing an essay in Spanish most of what is written involves very basic vocabulary and has a moderate amount of grammatical errors. This essay also is the first time that I have written an essay in a foreign language, as I had also never previously written an essay in Latin (the language I took at my sending school).

The second essay of the year in Spanish was about my daily routine. This essay specifically encompasses my daily routine on a school day towards the beginning of B term. This essay has significantly less grammatical mistakes and has more complex sentence structure and vocabulary than my first essay.
