Humanities
In Humanities, Ms. Small leads our History and English journey. We kick off the year with a deep dive into
Walden, our summer reading, bringing it to life through skits performed at Bournedale. As the year unfolds,
we unravel the history behind education, write satirical pieces, and share our thoughts in bi-weekly
journals, focusing on real world events and just talk about our overall MAMS experience. Through lively
discussions, we gain fresh perspectives on real-world issues, making learning a dynamic experience.

		 Education Essay
During A-Term and B-Term, we read a lot of written work and read poems regarding the
current education system and its history. In this assignment, we were tasked with writing an essay on a
prompt of your choice related to education. The prompt I addressed was "How well does the American education
system prepare its students for the global workforce?".

		Walden Skit
Originating from our exploration of Henry David Thoreau's "Walden" during the summer, we
were organized into groups to compose and present skits. Almost a month later, these skits took place at
Bournedale, with students forming groups of four and performing skits to reflect their understanding of the
novel. My group consisted of Anika Karre, Jacob Jiang, and Sasha Nandyala.
