Welcome to Physics! This course is all about real world connections and hands on experiments. With lessons on dynamics, energy, momentum, and even calculus, this course is full of useful topics, as well as fun action filled projects.
Dynamics Lab
For this dynamics lab, we were asked to design our own experiments to test an area of dynamics. My group and I wanted to test the force of a group of fans, by having them resist the motion of a cart on a track, and recording the velocity of the carts motion. Graphing this motion allowed us to see the fan force as the y-intercept, giving us an approximate value for the fan force.
Rocket Problem
This rocket problem was a multi-step challenge problem meant to test a number of areas we had been working with. This included multiple areas of dynamics with a multitude of formulas. It also include a fair amount of trigonometry, and angles. Because of this, I found it to be an excellent activity to reinforce these topics.
