About Me:

My Life Collage

I’m an aspiring aerospace engineer, with a deep love for anything math, physics and engineering. At my sending school I was an active member of the Uxbridge Science Olympiad Team, where I participated in events like Astronomy, Dynamic Planet, Codebusters, Write It Do It and Helicopter. I also served as the captain of my sending school’s robotics team. These clubs helped me discover the power of collaboration and served as a platform for me to meet others that shared my interests.

This year I’m continuing my robotics journey with the FRC Team 190, a joint robotics team WPI and Mass Academy robotic team, and I plan on joining CAD Club, Physics Team and the Creative Engineering and Design Team at Mass Academy. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy drawing, reading and 3D Modelling.

My Family:

My Family

Before diving deeper into my story, I want to dedicate a section of this website to my family, the people that work hard to support me and bring me to where I am today. In Uxbridge I live with my mom, my dad, and my energetic 7-year-old brother. We moved to the U.S. in 2019, during my fourth-grade year, all the way from Bangalore, India. It took quite a while to adjust to the lifestyle here and it was a huge change, but one that taught me adaptability and resilience.

Art:

Art

Art has always been a part of me, even from a young age. I started to teach myself realistic sketching during the Covid years by watching YouTube tutorials. I work with mediums like colored pencils, watercolors, markers, and occasionally acrylic paint. More recently I’ve started exploring digital art using an app called Ibis Paint. Check out some of my work on the Art Gallery page!

Reading:

My Bookshelf

Another hobby of mine is reading. My favorite genre is epic fantasy, but I also enjoy reading sci-fi, mystery and dystopian novels. I would say my all-time favorite book series is Harry Potter, but because that book series is everyone’s favorite, here are some other books I enjoyed.

Reading allows me to immerse myself in worlds completely different from ours and to look at events through the lenses of another character’s point of view.

3D Modelling:

Incomplete 3D Model

I was first introduced to Computer Aided Design in my Introduction to Engineering Design class at Uxbridge. CAD encourages me to merge my artistic skills with engineering logic and forces me to think of my subject in 3 dimensions instead of only 2. I started CAD with Autodesk Fusion, and then expanded to other CAD software, such as Blender – a powerful tool to create 3D models and animation. Blender’s versatility allows me to create more visually appealing models and experiment with complex shapes and motion, bringing ideas to life in a way sketches alone can’t. I’m learning Onshape through our robotics and CAD teams. Exploring with these different types of software has pushed me to use my skills in different settings, each time in a unique way.

Community Service:

Community Harvest at Grafton

At Mass Academy, every student is required to complete 50 hours of community service each school year. Over the summer I volunteered 30 hours at the Community Harvest Project (CHP) at Grafton, where we harvested a variety of crops, such as cabbages, carrots and onions, to support people struggling with food insecurity in our community. In the past I have also volunteered in events with the India Society of Worcester and Taft Elementary School, allowing me to connect with people across different generations and backgrounds.
