Physics is a class taught by Ms. Chase. In Physics, we cover Algebra and Calculus-based physics, following the AP curriculum. We apply our knowledge to real-life scenarios and deepen our understanding through labs.
Our multi-step rocket problems were used to show our understanding of projectile motion and kinematics. Each of us was given the same general problem, but the values for our variables varied, so our answers differed. Although the concepts in the problem were not complex, the various steps left much room for error, making this problem challenging.
We performed this lab during our dynamics unit, which focused on Newton’s Second Law. We were allowed to explore different topics, and my group chose friction. In this, Abhikhya, Shaurya, and I measured if and how the coefficient of friction changed when different amounts of force were applied.
