Advanced Spanish.

Taught by Ms. Julia Wildfong, this course immerses students in authentic language materials such as literature, music, film, discussions, and games to bolster language proficiency. Through project-based learning, students create podcasts, films, and collaborate on group projects, applying their language skills in practical contexts. Assessment revolves around individual progress, captured and presented through video, audio, and written portfolios.

Why Learn a Second Language? - An Essay

This was the first assignment that we had received in class. The goal was to reflect upon our reasoning for learning a new language - in essence, what was the point? To answer this question, we wrote a summary and reflection of Tamim Ansary's "Why Learn a Second Language?". As you go through the text, take a moment and think about it yourself. Listening Log - B Term

Throughout the year, we are encouraged to record our engagement with Spanish media. By doing so, our comprehension abilities naturally improve; we also get the ability to enjoy watching a TV show and listen to music for homework!
