Karate

I have been training as a martial artist for just over a decade at America's Best Defense. I first stepped into the dojo when I was 6 years old, not knowing that it would become such an important part of my life. What began as a way to build confidence after a difficult experience in 1st grade quickly grew into a passion. The dojo became a place where I learned far more than just punches and kicks—it taught me discipline, patience, and how to push past my limits. Over the years, I’ve worked my way up to earning a 1st-degree black belt, a milestone that reflects not only years of training but also perseverance through setbacks. Alongside Karate, I’ve also started practicing Krav Maga to broaden my understanding of martial arts and self-defense. To me, Karate isn’t just a sport; it’s a safe space where I can let go of stress, break through boards and barriers, and continue shaping the person I want to become.
