The Spanish class at Mass Academy is taught by SeƱora Wildfong, and it is an immersion class where we can only speak in the target language, Spanish. This class allows us to practice and work on Spanish grammar, pronunciation, and become more comfortable in day-to-day conversation. We learn Spanish through fun activities, board games, worksheets, and small quizzes, and this is definitely one of my favorite classes because of the constant groupwork, and because I discovered one of my favorite songs: El Mismo Sol.
This was the first presentation the intermediate Spanish class had to present this year. We got to choose one famous Spanish-speaking artist and gave a presentation on the alluring pieces of art they created throughout their career. I chose Frida Kahlo, and in the slideshow we presented three paintings and provided descriptions of them without writing them directly on the slideshow. It was fun researching about her and I enjoyed this project!

One assignment we did in class was writing an essay about our daily routines using reflexive verbs, which describe actions when the subject performs that same action on themself. It was a one-page essay, talking about school and our after-school activities. It was primarily about our daily routine during the weekday, but I chose to write a small paragraph about my weekends too!
