STEM Title: Utilizing Saccharomyces cerevisiae to develop a system of mutualistic wastewater treatment with both chemical and biological treatments
The Grant Proposal is important because it is the first piece of rigorous literature that the student has to write in STEM class. Its purpose is to determine the depth to which the student understands their project so they can write a summary of their project in the form of a document asking for financial support for the project. Finally, to write the Grant Proposal, preliminary data is expected, so it is also a checkpoint for the student to obtain some data regarding their project.
