Me
Welcome!
My name is Max Grisanti, and welcome to my site! You can scroll down to learn more about me or use the menu to explore my academic career at Mass Academy.

About Me

I am a junior here at Mass Academy, but before that, I attended Nipmuc Regional High School in Upton, MA. In school, I like learning about math, biology, and computer science. Outside of academics, some of my interests include drawing, swimming, music, reading, and doing puzzles. I’ve been playing trumpet since fifth grade, and I recently picked up guitar as well. I’ve also been a swimmer on Crimson Aquatics for over six years now. I live in Mendon, MA, with my parents, two younger brothers, and my dog, Dash.

Hobbies and Interests

Swimming

As I stated earlier, I’ve swam for Crimson Aquatics since middle school, and I thought I’d take a moment to expand on my swimming career, as swim has played a huge role in my life for the last 6 years. Besides becoming a better swimmer, obviously, all the time I’ve spent in the pool has taught me discipline, time-management, and helped me form some of my strongest friendships. We have long practices that run 11 months of the year, so swim has also helped me gain a better understanding of commitment. While my coach might constantly remind us of how boring it is to “swim up and down the black line over and over again,” I find it quite peaceful. When I’m underwater, it’s like everything outside the pool slows and comes to a halt, and swimming becomes an escape from the rest of life.

Music

Another important component of my life has been music. I’ve played trumpet in band since it was first introduced to me in fifth grade. At my sending school, I participated in the Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Pep Band, Marching Band, and Band Council. Now, I continue to play trumpet at the WPI Concert Band. Over quarantine, I also started teaching myself guitar, which has been a very interesting process. It’s definitely a humbling experience to go from knowing everything about one instrument to nothing about another. However, it’s an important reminder of where I started and how my passion for music has developed into what it is today. Dash

This is my dog, Dash. She's a Boston Terrier and we got her in 2017. I decided it would be wrong to make a website all about me and not dedicate a section to my best friend, so here's Dash! She loves swimming and playing with her frisbee, but when she's not doing that, you can probably find her curled up in someone's blanket.

Dash! Who drivin this bus? captain!
