Humanities is a class where we explore the idea of humanity. It encompasses different courses such as history and English. We started the year by reading Walden by Henry David Thoreau, then moved to different topics such as the education system, human nature, satire, and identity. The class focuses on writing essays, projects, and having discussions on various readings.

As part of our satire unit, we wrote an essay on satire pieces of our choosing. I chose to compare two articles: one argumentative and one satire on the dangers of inaction in the face of global warming. I concluded that the satirical article published by the Onion did a better job of conveying the point. Click on this link if you can't see the pdf.
