Smart Diverter for Rainwater Harvesting Systems

Grant Proposal

Many people around the world lack access to clean water. Governments around the world are investing in different solutions, such as desalination, wastewater recycling, and rainwater harvesting. Rainwater harvesting is a prevalent solution in Uganda, the area of focus for this project. Many people in Uganda don't adopt this solution because of its cost, or if they do, it is not installed to the right standard. The aim of this project was to create a smart water diverter that decreases costs while also allowing for the collection of cleaner water compared to the control.
