Advanced Spanish is a class taught by SeƱora Wildfong that is an immersive environment. Students read books, listen to music, play games, converse, and write all in Spanish. They also create short films during the middle portion of the year, beginning with a detailed Storyboard and then the filming and editing process. These films will be showed to the MAMS community during a short-film festival.
Our first writing assignment in Spanish was a story from our
childhood. I chose to write about a time I was playing
hide-and-seek as a kid. I found this assignment a fun way to work
on my writing and storytelling skills in Spanish.

Every term, language students keep a journal of vocabulary that
they acquire in class, through readings, listening, conversation,
and more. The goal is to be constantly expanding our vocabulary
in Spanish and have a place to refer back to them as needed. The
definitions must be written in Spanish or illustrated. We use WordReference to find
meanings, conjugations, synonyms, and more.
