The MAMS Spanish Immersion course emphasizes discussion and comprehension. Each day, we participate in fun activities covering a variety of topics, practicing our Spanish reading, listening, and speaking skills through movies, readings, class discussions, and games, all conducted in the target language. As part of the Intermediate Spanish level, I focus on expanding my vocabulary and grammar while enhancing my overall language proficiency.

El Ensayo de la casa

The Casa Essay was our first in Spanish, reflecting our early skills after learning house vocabulary, directions, and the present tense. We took four pictures of rooms in our homes and wrote descriptions of each, limited to one double-spaced page while being as detailed as possible.

Rutina del Día

For this assignment, we described a typical weekday, including our morning routine, school schedule, and afternoon/evening activities. After learning reflexive verbs, the essay allowed us to practice using them in everyday actions. It also helped me feel more comfortable with reflexive verbs and encouraged me to reflect on and organize my daily routine.
