PHYSICS

Physics, taught by Mrs. Chase, aligns with the AP Physics 1 and AP Physics C curriculums. All students learn to use both algebra- and calculus-based concepts throughout topics including kinematics, dynamics, energy, and circular motion. All classes are in groups and students get the chance to practice their individual skills on homework and investigation skills in interactive labs.

Interactive labs are a big part of our Physics course. This dynamics lab was from A term, where we were learning about Newtonian dynamics. In this specific lab, we got to choose any topic related to dynamics and made a question to test. My team focused on differences in plane angles for a modified Atwood's machine.

This acceleration lab was the first lab that we did in Physics. We focused on finding acceleration on an inclined plane using the change in slope of velocity of a cart. Since this was our first lab, we focused on the data collection, analysis, and conclusion.
